Firefighters arrived yesterday on the scene of a four-alarm fire in a northern settlement on RhyDin's outskirts. The town was said to have been comprised of no more than six buildings and a few residences. According to Dean Wilkens, a veteran firefighter for the RhyDin Force, the blaze was already well out of hand by the time they arrived.

"The fire had consumed the whole town. We're not sure why it took so long to report; you could see the flames for miles all the way into town. Eventually we decided just to let it burn itself out."

Experts claim that the fire began somewhere around noon, and initial investigations point to a lightning strike as the cause. However, while arson is not initially suspected, experts claim size of the blaze suggests that it may have been purposefully set.

"From what I've heard, that town was a notorious slave center in the past. Good riddance, and I wish there had been its original inhabitants inside while it burned," Melea"rr Qu"treth, neighboring town resident, said.

The RhyDin Watch has so far reported no casualties, but continue to search through the rubble for any signs of remains. Sources indicate that the town has long since been abandoned.

Still, anyone with any information on the fire is urged to contact the Watch immediately.
