Topic: Governor's Yule Ball 2014

On Saturday, 13 December, the Governor will host the 2014 Yule Ball. The event will be held on the grounds of Stardreamer Manor ((Southern Glen)), a short distance to the north of the city, with the doors opening at 8pm RST.

Transportation to and from the Yule Ball will be available through special arrangement with the Rhydin Transit Service, courtesy of Andu Kirost.

Upon arrival, guests pass through the manor house to a torchlit path that leads down to the Yule Ball pavillion. Carriage and sleigh rides will be available for those who wish to enjoy a quiet, romantic moment before or after the ball. http://imageshack.com/a/img540/1189/qslNO9.jpg

Once inside the pavillion, guests may visit the bar, or enjoy the buffet if they wish. http://imageshack.com/a/img673/8199/kDAsfP.jpg

Tables line the pavillion walls, with a dance floor in the center, dominated by a magnificent Yule tree. Around the tree are gifts donated by folk from across Rhydin, to be delivered to the orphanages around the city. Donations for the Orphans of Rhydin

As some of you may know, caring for the children of Rhydin that have been left orphaned or abandoned has long been a cause of mine. Now, inspired by Terry King, Overlord of the Duel of Swords, and her Barons Charity Event, there will be not one but two opportunities for guests at the ball to help. First, gifts of toys for the orphanages of our city can be left under the tree in the center of the pavillion.

Secondly, there will be a raffle for prizes donated by the generous souls of Rhydin. If you wish to purchase tickets for this raffle, please feel free to contact me directly. All raffle ticket proceeds will be used to purchase clothes for the orphans, and will be matched coin for coin by myself.
