( Stereo Love by Edward Maya)

When you're gonna stop breaking my heart I don't wanna be another one Paying for the things I never done Don't let go Don't let go To my love

Leylines were like music notes, a score of sound that threaded through her veins like lifeblood.

Can I get to your soul Can you get to my thought Can we promise we won't let go All the things that I need All the things that you need You can make it feel so real.

Magic, Music, and Men. Just a few of her favorite things. Haven kept her secrets in the sound, driven by the soul and the pulse of it.

Magic and Music had such a similarity, near mirror images in Haven's mind.

Cuz you can't deny You've blown my mind When I touch your body I feel I'm loosing control Cuz you can't deny You've blown my mind When I see you baby I just don't wanna let go

I hate to see you cry Your smile is a beautiful lie I hate to see you cry My love is dying inside I can fix all those lies

The Crymson Tryst had welcomed her for another evening of trance, electronica, dance, and gothic grooves and she gave in as she always would.

Oh baby, baby I run, but I'm running to you You won't see me cry, I'm hiding inside My heart is in pain but I'm smiling for you Can I get to your soul Can you get to my thought Can we promise we won't let go All the things that I need All the things that you need You can make it feel so real

A close of eyes as those hips sashayed and swayed, moving their sweet figure eights as she felt the pulse and the rocking beat that flowed through her like power.

Cuz you can't deny You've blown my mind When I touch your body I feel I'm losing control Cuz you can't deny You've blown my mind When I see you baby I just don't wanna let go

Breathing in she exhaled and closed her eyes, a flashing vision danced behind her lashes. The smooth, handsome appeal of Ezekiel brought that smile to curl at her lips.

He was a mystery to her that she wanted to learn of, but then Haven had her secrets didn't she now?

When you're gonna stop breaking my heart i dont wanna be another one paying for the things i never done Don't let go Don't let go To my love I can fix all those lies

So used to being in hiding, keeping her heritage and bloodlines a secret.

A rub of thumb moved absently over the tattoo at her wrist, knowing well it hid the old scar of the demon's mark that claimed her as his familiar.

Even a royal born elf had her reasons to stay in hiding....

Oh baby, baby I run, but I'm running to you You won't see me cry, I'm hiding inside My heart is in pain but I'm smiling for you

Haven could only hope that finding the escape, would keep her safe.

Shaking her head, the crystal curls bounced as the headphones hit her ears and she lost herself in the music, gave herself over to the sound.

It was time to groove, it was time to believe that the music and the magic could live on without the suffering.

Oh baby I'll try to make the things right I need you more than air when I'm not with you Please don't ask me why, just kiss me this time My only dream is about you and I

And all you need is a hunger to feed I've got my own secrets though, say what? With a heart full of mess and lore We are doomed but we wanted more ~A Fine Frenzy-Blow Away~

It had been so many years. So many years that she had been in servitude in the world below as the demon's familiar. Of course she well knew his name but it would never leave her lips. To speak his name was to summon him and Haven had no desire to speak the name of the one who had kept her imprisoned for so many years.

Time was a thoughtless thing when it came to the elves, but even now her line and those that had managed to be freed from their time bound to the years of servitude to the demons kept their existence and true blood a secret. Haven was one of the true bloods, one of the last existing members of her family's royal blood line and yet all of it was kept hushed and secret. It was so much better for them to believe she was still in servitude, or worse, dead.

It was a risky revelation to expose if the truth came out, how many years had she spent hiding that truth' a truth she kept tucked within music and in the sound. Surely the magic was viewed in the way Haven could manipulate the sound, was so easily influenced by the sway of music. Haven knew her eyes were a dead give away that she was something more then she seemed, but she hoped and prayed that her bloodlines would be instead interpreted as some other folklore or mystic based creature of fantasy and magic.

Haven found those very eyes of night dark fixed upon her reflection as the brush moved through the crystal pale curls of her hair for near the hundredth time as her thoughts wandered. They drifted over so many that had seemed to welcome her presence so easily. Chris and the spider had been especially welcoming, and the group she had met through the lawyer Lucky had been ever friendly to her.

After so long of only knowing the demon, Haven near seemed to thrive on the companionship and friendly environment she was surrounded by. Ezekiel's easy offerings of warmth and comfort and companionship were near a soothing balm and remedy to the nervous, anxious ways she kept so hidden that were so much residual of the life she had left behind.

So many secrets would eventually come to light when trust and truth came to be understood. Haven wanted to have the safety and assurance that all of what she was, who she was would be accepted before such revelations could be known. It was part of the reason seeing the duels and some injured had impacted and sent Haven in such a thread of worry that left her again in that nervous pull of her lip ring and the wrought tension in her spine.

There had been far worse she had seen, far worse that had been endured that she no longer wished to see such again for anyone. A deep sigh was exhaled as that smile was pressed forth to dimple on the cupid bow of her mouth as she heard the knock on her door alerting her it was time to get to work. After all, no matter what happened the show had to go on.

Her head was full of stars and moonlight. She'd never felt that close before to the stars and yet she felt like a trespasser. There were others that belonged here more so then her. She dreamed of them constantly.

Moon elves. Once she remembered a tale her mother had told her. A deep enchantment of a story that seemed pure rather then fiction.

Her mother had been a beautiful, delicate creature. Smaller then even Haven, tiny and diminuitive. Adorable to every willowy bone.

Flawless. Unmarked. Untouched.

A star canvas sky. That was what her mother was.

When Haven closed her eyes she saw so many of those she had befriended.

She saw Ezekiel and Shae and the Shadow Man.

Still she also saw the vision of one that had gone without a name or face to her yet still so significant.

Then there was him the demon she wouldn't dare speak the name of.

To speak his name was to call upon him. The one that ended a pretty mother's life and left her only child as a disciple, an apprentice to the dark magic. The demon bound. She wore his mark to save her father from such a sacrifice and bloody end.

Everything for a price he had said, and Haven had learned those words well. Lived them every day.

A touch. A path. A pattern. A story.

All she had.

A handful of stars, a comet she couldn't catch. A dream.

A memory.

A wish.

Wish for more.

Haven was shining, glory born like a street claimed angel as she threw her head back and moved her hips to the sound pouring out through the stereo equipment.

Notes hitting so hard they throbbed, leaving the crowd as a sea of flesh thrusting and fighting for the surface, to find air.

Gyrating hips and sweat dappled limbs and in the midst of it all she glistened like an unnatural star. The shining point in the chaos of darkness and skin.

A dimpled grin was sent up to the blazing globe of light moving and swaying above and near those crystal curls of hair, casting a vision of a halo to radiate around those pale curls.

The illusion brought a smile to her lips given it was so far from the truth. Haven was far from an angel.

Far too dark smudged was the glory gold of her spirit, far too unnatural the way of her spirit.

Highborn elves made sacrifices sometimes for the Ever After. Demon prodigy all to save a life.

It weighed on her spirit with its thick black essence to taint the shine of her soul but there never was a better choice to be made.

She'd wear the mark and pay the price as she had for so long.

Time was done of that servitude and all she knew now was the Sound.

Sending the G Clef figure of her body into a captivating thrust and grind, sway of hips and a roll of body. Sinuous and sensual, wicked and surreal.

Her hand reached up to the halo of light that the globe of energy offered she brought that gleaming ball into her hand and moved as if to give it a kiss.

Instead blowing out a breath like blowing out birthday candles or making wishes on dandelions to send the burst of energy out into the crowd.

To enlighten and feed them. To take that sound again and make it hers to feel alive.

A few arrangements made to make sure the music would go on as she darted out of her booth and followed after that globe of light.

The personification of tinkerbell and peter pan in reverse roles....though she was far from the little boy that had lost his shadow.

Oh but she had lost so many things....so many things...

But it would never show.

In that moment such loss could never be recognized or known as she was grabbing the hands of tinkerbell gone Lost Boy.

Never Never land. This was her existence.

The music, the sound, the floor her sanctuary. Her dream. Her place far far away from Reality....where she could forget...if only to know something more free as she danced with Max, shining and radiant once more.

This was what it was to feel alive.
