The following announcement was made by the Governor via press release:
The Governor's Service Medal award program is designed to recognize people who have gone above and beyond in their efforts to serve our community by showing exemplary commitment, hard work and dedication. The recipients of this honor strive - sometimes in extreme circumstances - to improve the quality of life for residents and visitors to the communities of Rhy?Din and Stars End.
This month, we are recognizing the accomplishments of a number of individuals, whose contributions spanned the better part of early summer, from the election season to present. Ten individuals are being honored, and I trust you will join me in congratulating them.
Our first recipient is receiving this award for the hard work and community spirit in opening up the Overlord's residence for a beach party open to the public. A great many stories emerged about the fun had during this event. Congratulations and thank you to Candy Hart for your ongoing support of community events.
The next recipients put in a great many hours preparing for and hosting the fabulous End of Summer Bash. We almost missed awarding these medals because in true "What happens here stays here" spirit, there were many mysterious smiles when partygoers were asked about their experiences, but few solid accounts of events.
However, we uncovered the list of those whose hardwork paid off - and benefited the GangStar Children's charity as well! Congratulations to: Riley Lo, DJ Zazzy Yas (Yasmin), Mataya DeLuca (Mataya), Kathryn Batten (Katt), Ander ConColor (Ander Northlander), Mairead Harker , Eregor, Rachael Douglas, Jonathan Granger, Max Yako, RHiannon Brock, and Thorn (The Redneck).
Kudos to all of our Governor's Service Medal recipients for September!
((I need to order a few more medals, so if you don't get one this week, they're coming!))
