The following announcement was made by the Governor via press release:
The Governor's Service Medal award program is designed to recognize people who have gone above and beyond in their efforts to serve our community by showing exemplary commitment, hard work and dedication. The recipients of this honor strive - sometimes in extreme circumstances - to improve the quality of life for residents and visitors to the communities of Rhydin and Stars End.
Three individuals will be receiving this recognition for their efforts in the service of our community in November. I hope that you will join me in applauding each of these for the example they have shown to us all.
Two of our recipients are being awarded the medal for the hard work put forth in organizing this year's inaugural Dueler Appreciation Week. From organizing special matches to sharing a remarkable series of reports that provided all of us with great insight into the sports, the celebration would not have been the same without the efforts of Race and Matthew Simon.
The third recipient for November is receiving his award for a notable demonstration of valor and personal sacrifice in the defense of our city from outside aggressors. Congratulations and thank you to Kyle Pontius.
Kudos to all of our Governor's Service Medal recipients for November!
