A massive cosmic flare blasted toward RhyDin this morning, sending a burst of powerful radiation that caused disruptions in radio and navigation technology. The flare occurred about 01:26 AM, and directly impacted several businesses and cellular phone towers in RhyDin.

Some interference with high-frequency radios and navigations was also reported later that afternoon, says Doctor Frederick Fleischer of the University of Westplace Astrology and Astrophysics Department.

"Our team at the university as well as the new team at the RhyDin Observatory were constantly monitoring the situation as it progressed," Fleischer told the Post in a telephone interview. "As predicted, the radiation spike generated by the brief interruption in the Nexus-RhyDin axis resulted in a disruption in the transmission of local radio waves and satellite signals. Our reports are scattered, but the vast majority of them indicate the impact was negligible, and virtually all systems seem to have recovered to previous working conditions."

Reports obtained by the National Weather Service confirm that vital operations were unaffected, and most businesses report only a shortage in computer and communication systems. Fleischer further affirmed that aside from the temporary technological disruption, no additional fallout is anticipated.

"Everything should return to normal now," said Fleischer. "And we were able to gather a sizeable portion of valuable data from the incident. It was a very great learning experience."

In related news, the publication of the interview with Diedra Vall has been temporarily put on hold, as The RhyDin Post is currently encountering site-wide printing and computer errors. The interview will be made public as soon as it is received, and we apologize for any inconvenience.
