A street faire, a carnival, a dance, a celebration, all rolled into one.

Booths set up 'round the outside track of the Market Fountain, leaving plenty of space for dancing and feasting, or simply strolling and chatting. Wandering or stationary musicians to lend another layer of fun to the mood.

The Festival On The Verge is meant to celebrate the last moments of Winter, when Spring is just beginning to stir and raise its head. When the air has the faintest trace of warmth across its back, and the barest hint of fresh growth and green stains the land.

It's also meant to be a reason to have a little bit of fun in the depths of January

(The games are difficult, but not impossible. The fact that most residents in Rhy'din are more than human has been taken into consideration and adjusted for in some cases. In others not so much. As always, what happens to the character is up to their player.)

Traditional Punch and Judy fare offered in one venue. In another a shadow puppet tale about a young man traveling to ask an elemental queen for aid at the tail end of a very hard winter.

The moral of the tale, is different for everyone who listens to it.

Between the carnival games to the wide ranges of food, Zofie struggled with considering her return to a human state as anything other than a predicament. Still, she managed to snag a few plushies from whatever games didn't require good aim or balanced throwing, and scribbled down the brick and mortar addresses of vendors whose food she got too stuffed to try. The fire dancing became a two-fold thing for her, both setting her gymnast's eye on the performance and warming up from the flames zipping around. She was likely light and short conversation at best. She went home satisfied, yet still greatly humbled, much more aware of her humanity and its limitations.
