Countless thousands of years ago, when the forces of good and law had finally managed to push the demons back into the abyss an enterprising young man named L"thien (human) found himself on a plane that had been relatively untouched by the demons, partly because of it's insignificance to the war. After gaining permission from both the dragons and the Fae of the land L"thien settled himself and began to work. What came later were the Elves, majestic, graceful, immortal, and wise. During this great time he had fallen in love with a beautiful Elven princess named Bellaluna who would later become the queen.
War broke out between the two great empires (Elves and Dragons). However, in the end the magic of the elves won the day, and with their great power, destroyed the dragons and enslaved them.
At this point the Elven Empire exploded onto the world stage as the superior power. All beings bowed to them. The great elven city of Celendrial became the capitol of the material plane and one of the jewels of the entire universe. Vast amounts of knowledge were stored in this city.
Bellaluna gave birth to a daughter named Annariel Iruvel. The daughter was born with full elven blood running through her veins. It turned out that her father although human had warlock in his blood that he was not privy to. Her musical abilities were apparent by the age of five. The family was living grand and with pleasure. Annariel was always sensible and kind. She became the favorite of the people.
Throughout the years the elves had become arrogant and drunk with power. Their magic, however, could not save them from the Shadow of the South. Monstrosities and Necromancers descended upon the elven lands, devouring all except the Bellaluna, L"thien and Annariel. Bellaluna was able to keep them safe temporarily. Nothing could stop the massacre of the land. Desperate and broken, the queen wanted to save their daughter from the horrible place their world had become. She scoured different planes and finally decided Rhydin would be the best place to keep her safe.
L"thien fought his wife trying to keep his daughter with them both but failed because of her superior stature and magical abilities. The battle between the two caused her mother to do the unspeakable and kill L?thien right in front of Annariel. Out of desperation Bellaluna cast the deepest curse she knew in her elven tongue. This curse blinded her daughter from past events. This included her mother and father and everyone she ever made contact with in this land. Bellaluna only allowed the enjoyment of music and helping others to stay with her daughter Annariel. As the curse was completed Annariel was in a deep sleep making it possible for Bellaluna to transport her safely to Rhydin's Southern Glen. A cello and a bag of music were the only belongings left to Annariel.
Within the cello Bellaluna burned a protection spell as well as a secondary curse should anyone try to undo what she had done.
Bellaluna was never to be heard from again. The young Annariel was locked away and thus Axel was born.
