Aurthur had not been home for two days, but the little blue did not worry. Suzie had told her he probably wanted to surprise her, and so he'd gone off exploring for more wild flowers they could plant in the gardens.
Waking on third day, she'd peek at her bedside. Still no Aurthur, but the bond they shared remained strong. Slipping from their chamber, she would help her sister with breakfast, making sure the hatchlings and fledglings, the children and animals all had something to eat.
Stormy had even convinced her to eat more than she normally would, reminding her of the chores that needed to be done.
Solaria and Tempest both watched from respective perches as the younger dragonlings crept out into the sunshine. It was the first Spring for a few, and soon a pair were tumbling with squeaks and giggles, Running into their mother's leg as she was tending the gardens. A soft chuckle and a nuzzle to the pair as they soon ventured back to their siblings, all within viewing distance.
Two stone sentinals stood with wings outspread. Eyes forever open. A tribute to Firenze, and Shadowcatch. Fallen, but never forgotten.
