Topic: How to make a Legal Eagle into another common Vulture.

Kitty Helston

Kitty marched into the Onyx, paperwork held in one clawed hand.

She marched directly to Lankyn's ever closed office door and simply thumbtacked the papers to the door. He'd find them later.

The bottom paper was the Wanted Poster she had plastered all over town. The top ones were legal papers.

"Revocation of Legal Law License

It is Hereby declared that the following Mister Dewey, Mister Howe, and Mister Cheetham licenses to practice Law in the city of Rhydin are hereby Revoked.

Any transactions they make under the pretense of lawyers are NULL and VOID."

The rest was a bunch of legal mumbo jumbo that most people wouldn't understand, but the meaning was definitely clear.

Once it was tacked up, she turned on her heel and went to her room. It was only fair the family knew what steps she was taking, right?

Meanwhile, copies of the same documents had been delivered to the DCH offices via postal courier.

Mr. Howe

Date: 2007-06-11 18:27 EST
Howe holds one of the many wanted posters that have shown up all over town in a clenched fist. His face is red with anger, his expression livid. "How dare she"! That Blood will pay for this disgrace!"

Not only are the flyers all over town, the witch had the gall to messenger over both the wanted poster and a legal document declaring their ability to practice law in Rhy"Din null and void.

Well, too bad, so sad for the "Governor". DCH already has a plan in action and soon enough it will be launched. In the meantime, Howe's called a meeting with two of the three judges that work for the township of Rhy"Din; two very *sympatric* judges at that. The "Governor" may be full of herself enough to declare DCH unfit to ply their trade in the realm, but that ruling can be overturned by those who really hold the law in their hands. And this is exactly what they are going to do.

"Curse you Ms. Helston! We'll see you rotting in Hell before we allow you to get away with this highhanded act!"

With a snarl of pure rage Howe departs his office, slamming the door closed behind him. He ignores the traitorous Burger, his assistant whom shall be meeting an unfortunate end soon enough, as he storms towards the exit. He's on his way to the courthouse, less than a block away.

It's time to start pulling the strings; time to begin the lesson of just whose really in control over the legal system here in Rhy"Din.
