Hey gang, figured this would be the easiest way to let everyone know I had to pull down the other MB and Galleries. Technical issues with the way MySQL runs with Aplus.net.

All works (Writing and images) have been archived and are available if anyone wishes a copy.

The reason for the conflict' I'm setting up a guildsite for a WoW guild on Azjol-Nerub and did not know that when you assign a password to the new DB, the PW on the old one changes....:roll: :oops:

Hey all,

May not be on as much for the next week or so. My computer that survived Katrina, seems to have either a power supply problem or worse...A cooling system problem. It's in in the shop and hopefully soon will get it back, until then can't make any promises to when or if I will be around. :(

Using a laptop but as it belongs to one we are currently staying with, I can't hog it.

Hey All,

Just a bit of info about the Veighn/Bel log...

I have edited the chat logs, removing most of the extraneous chat to save time and space....

It happened in the RDI but we were getting bumped a lot that night, so we took the play to a PR. Original logs are available.

Just a quick update about the kidnapping of Tass.

Working on the log now. Its pretty big and is taking longer than I anticipated but we will have it up soon.

We in DCH are trying hard to play respectfully with everyone. If we have failed, and there are those who feel they are being moded by us, you should let us know.

Otherwise, we *beg* all of you to play *WITH* us and not *AT* us.

We the players of DCH have a right to our stories just as much as anyone else, and we would appreciate it if all of you respect this. We have not gone out of our way to destroy anyone's stories. Everything we've done IC we were invited to do.

Destroying our sl's is not the kind of payback we anticipated. If you don't wish to play with us, then feel free to ignore us. Otherwise, please keep in mind that we have the same rights as the rest of you.

We have not destroyed anyone's storylines with our interactions, nor have we attempted to undermine others in their attempts to tell their stories. We would ask that the same be offered to us in return.

Our storylines should be respected and given the same regard as anyone else's.

We have taken what has been thrown at us in stride, up until now. We have found creative ways to write ourselves out of DESTRUCTIVE situations. It is now going beyond this.

We don't want to be stomped on here. We feel we've been nothing but respectful. We feel it is within our rights to request that we be treated the same.

I'm baaaaaaaaaack!!! Had an awesome time in New Orleans! Got to hang out with all my friends, go to all the places I love, and eat my lil' heart out! The food?! As always was fantastic! The friends....Fab! And the places....Although the nasty "K" did tremendous damage all around, rebuilding is in full swing! The Quarter hasn't changed....well, except for the names on some of the shops....It is as lovely as ever!

If any of you get the chance....you really should visit the Big Easy and see for yourselves. The charm is still there and so are the parties!!!

Anyways....Let the stories commence! Much evil plotting has occurred right before and during my "vacation", so let's get the ball rolling friends! Much excitement is ahead for all!!!! We've a grab bag of goodies to stir the proverbial rp pot....Just keep on reading! ::winks.::

Hullo.

Firstly, I wanna send my apologies to the boys at DCH — real-life stuff had croped up and I had to try and think fast regarding the trial SL of my little blue critter. As it was, things halfway fell apart though the RL stuff got resolved thankfully. The trial's still planned and I'm in some need of a prosecutor.

I have a judge, defense attorney and some jurors and one bailiff. Yeh, my shrink/s went MIA too, though again, life happens.

I myself have very little know-how regarding courts and such, so I'm wondering if anyone here might be interested in doing a prosecutor.

The only things I ask are these two things: I'd like this trial to be as honest and straightforward as possible. No nasty tricks but no letting the defendant off unreasonably easy either. (yes, I'm saying this about my own char. He's the one going on trial). I just want a legitimate proceeding. And two: As mentioned, I know very little about legalities, court-related junk and all that. I'm still researching but if any of you have more know-how than I, please do correct me if I muff something up.

Again, both my apologies to you at DCH and many kudos to things I've read here so far. Awesome work.

Wow. I've never really done any interacting with any of the Bloods outside of.....Sid's bartending, I suppose, but I feel like I have to say that all of you involved in the Sid/Melantha/Peca SL did a truly fantastic job. I mean, I literally had to stop playing some nights just because I was so into reading what was happening or being discussed between the characters!

You guys *really* know how to weave stories, and I seriously hope I get a chance to cross paths with the Bloods at some point on the road!

Hey, everyone. I thought I did post it here in this thread, but I think I hit the New Topic button by mistake, very sorry about that. About the pic requests, it is something more of an IC vapoered request Tru makes IC, since I don't have enough time to find and approach every BHO member, it was more of the idea that Tru goes to every BHO and friend of BHO he can find or think of and asks them if they can give him some pics, IC, and if your character agrees and has some, it is assumed they give them to him. I wont need any actual pics, OOC. Although, I guess that would be cool too. :) Again, sorry for the misunderstanding about hitting the wrong button accidently.

Ok, I really don't know how to put this, so it's just going to be blunt.

Kitty is leaving the Bloods.

My play time is very VERY limited. I have kids, the youngest turning a year old in just a couple weeks. I also have a job, a husband I barely see as it is, and assorted other things going on in my life that keeps me busy most of the time. So when I do get to play, I want it to be fun. I want to enjoy what little time I have here. Anything that involves drama....seriously takes away from that fun.

For the record, this is not about True, player or character wise. It was just the final straw.

I want to be able to come online, play for a few hours, and leave. When a Blood storyline gets going, I feel obligated to stay. I can't be obligated. I simply can't.

Kitty will still be friends to everyone, and look upon them as family in a way. Luse will always be like a brother to her, for example. But I am going to have her leave the family with the intentions of concentrating on her own family with Tass.

I'll see you all around....hopefully.

Hey all! We're back....well" Kinda sorta. Its only a small handful of us now, but still....We've got some great stories to tell!

As for the stories....If a story is part of the DCH thread we're asking that it be posted with the following format for the title: DCH - .

If it isn't part of either, then no worries, if it is part of both.... DCH/Mab -

Why all this muss and fuss over the titles" Because currently we have three different sls going: The Bloods, DCH and Mab. We're getting ready to add two more sls to the mix which means....If folks wanna keep up with whats going on, we need to simplify things as best we can.

I am still alive, though I doubt in the foreseeable future I'll be able to attend any gaming sessions. As it so happens, life has come in the way of my more creative indeavors; fillers being my new step son starting a metal band which is doing quite well in the music scene locally. A step-daughter re-doing her kitchen in her new home. Saving for things such as weddings and other events that are taking away from the "buy Jer a computer" fund. MOST IMPORTANT — We in the Bloods Group have spent YEARS (over ten of them) FFRPing. We have ensured that all our property has been heavily fortified and secure.

FFRP is a two way street. PLAY WITH ME — NOT AT ME! I coined this phrase in 1994 on the PaP on AOL. Nothing has changed since then — I still feel the same way today as I did when I said that in '94.

If you want to play with me or the with the Bloods — Then please be considerate of our IC — or expect to be ignored.

At Looong Last!

We are back to writing! We'll have new posts up soon — so keep an eye out for them!

We should be able to polish off this part of the story arc and move into the next phase in short order. We're having fun, the stories are coming together nicely and we look forward to sharing them with you!

As for play time....Hmm' We've not worked that part out yet but hey, at least the stories are cooking....Better than the past few months of silence, lemme tell ya!

We also have some backstories we've been working on that lead up to the finale of "Raising the Dead" and give some information about what?s been happening outside of Rhy'Din. But....we haven't decided if we're going to share them here or not.

(Yes, we've been a busy a plotting!) We are hoping to close out several storylines in the next few months so we can start some new ones up....

Our next installment will be either Tuesday or Wednesday of next week....We are trying to do weeklies now — no promises but that's our goal.

I can offer a little spoilage and something to look forward to — Sun is coming back to Rhy'Din!!! She will be awesome to watch in action — We promise! Plus appearance by many of our past and current characters as well. Sometimes things come together in such awesome and amazing ways we, the writers, simply can't ignore the opportunities....so we aren't.

Just wanted to drop in and say we're not dead — we are working on the next installment of "Raising the Dead" which should be done soon!

We've all been rather swamped with real life — ain't that always the case" However we haven't forgotten our stories. We're currently working on several storylines — some new, some not so much. We really have been working on the stories, but unfortunately real life hasn't been kind enough to let us polish everything up in order to post it.

Hello All,

I have seen recent logs mentioning my character Bel and suggesting her involvement in a particular storyline. Let me clarify that neither Bel, nor any of the characters in the Bloods, or myself are involved in said storyline at this time. We have had no conversation with the other players involved concerning this storyline.

I would like to remind that in FFRP my characters and storylines are mine, and mine alone. Hijacking, namedropping or otherwise intentionally creating issues, whether IC or OOC, involving either of them WITHOUT my permission is perceived by me as stepping on my toes. (Whew, that was one heck of a long arsed sentence! ::wiping brow.::) I consider it a form of Playing AT me rather than playing WITH me. Instead I would ask that you refer to How to Play WITH Us to learn how to PLAY WITH US, please"

I am a huge proponent of being open to play with everyone, I support an open community. But I insist on COMMUNICATION. If you want me involved on any level in your storylines, you need to talk to me first. If I am not included in on a plot, then I have no say in its direction or control how my character is being used, abused, etc. If I have no input then I consider myself NOT INVOLVED or responsible for any aspect of it. Pretty easy to understand really - if I am not involved it should be obvious that I am not responsible for any of it. I lay claim to what I do — I am proud of my evil plotting! But I will not be used by others in theirs without my permission, that's just downright rude!

Please do not consider me a part of ANY SL unless I publicly state I am involved. Which, in case anyone has missed it, I am very quick to do. I do not hide who I play and am more than happy to lay claim, proudly, to my play. I do not pretend that I am another player, I do not take credit for something I didn't do. I do not lie and lay claim to that which isn't mine either. I am very transparent in my FFRP. I have no reason to be otherwise. So please, don't take another person or groups word for it, ask me first. My reputation alone should stand testament. Please keep in mind that I have nothing to gain by lying.

Here's the down low, Bel is currently NOT in PLAY: If you need to know why read the current thread on our board, Raising the Dead. If anyone needs to speak to the Bloods for any reason, IC or OOC, they need to contact the players of Lucius DeAuster or Lusiphur Blood. They have agreed to be the public face for the group until Bel's situation has been resolved.

I share credit with Julie, Sid's player. She collected all the FFGF information over the years and when it changed she snagged the new stuff. We've been keeping records since 1993. It's pretty wild to go back and see the evolution of the changes in the FFGF over the years.

Just a heads up....Real life is kicking my door down right now and everything else will be on hold until further notice.

We have a very sick kitty — I would tell you what he has if we only knew, we don't. We are still searching for a diagnosis, unfortunately, the only way to get one may prove deadly. So....for now we medicate and hope for the best.

Until this issue is resolved, or his condition at least stabilizes, it is highly doubtful I will be doing much other than my best to keep this board alive. Most likely through OOC posts. (Sorry!)

Hopefully things will stabilize soon and we can get back to a somewhat regular schedule that will allow me to dedicate some of my time to FFRP.

In the meantime....Merry Gaming All! May your fur babies stay safe and healthy!!! It really sucks when they don't!

I am in a rather euphoric state. It has been a very busy few days but I received some wonderful and delightful news! I was sent a note on Renderosity that said one of my recent images had been selected as a staff picture! Currently, Sid is languishing this Winter in Summer, at the court of the Lands of Ghosts and Shadows (you know how much she enjoys court ::Sarcasm.:: ). The twins are being trotted out and displayed sporadically (Sid would keep them locked down if she could), much to their dismay and annoyance (Sid blames them not one whit), though Hawk has had attentions thrown to him left and right. Between you and me and the fence post, Sid is all for getting them the hell out of there as at their age (15? as of the 2nd of January) there are too many parents jockeying for their hands in arranged marriages! (The nerve!) That, and the attentions are too much, bound to get noticed by those unwanted, if they haven't been already. Time to shore up the protections Da!! ::Cues the Jack player and then glomps onto him as well!::

The twins did indeed turned 15 at the beginning of the year. Hawk is breaking hearts and fueling speculation and becoming quite adept at the tearing down of all things, just as Joy is skilled in creation of all things and feeling awkward and so desperately and utterly in love. Just a heads up, I know I have fallen behind a bit on my posting but I am working on more. I am just getting over that dreadful flu so taking my time as I am still suffering the effects.

It is a foul nasty thing I sought to avoid by getting a flu shot, but this bug just scoffed at my futile attempt to keep the walking death at bay, and in return it has sought to kill me with plague like misery for several weeks. I however have triumphed (So far) and it looks as if I might just survive it. Anyway, I hope to have something written soon!

This has been bugging me for weeks now....I really dislike random tidbits of OOC on our IC board. I have asked all players whom post here to respect this choice. I left it up for several weeks out of courtesy to the player but enough is enough already. Every time I visit our board it irks me to no end and I worry it will enable others to post their random tidbits of OOC in separate threads on our board as well. No, I will delete any further OOC posts not placed in the OOC section. We have an OOC section for a reason. We expect people to use it for their OOC announcements. If they can't I will delete them from our board.

Apparently Veighn's player feels his extended hiatus is of such great import that it needed it's own thread. It doesn't. It belongs here in our OOC section - where all our OOC should go. So I am moving the thread here for obvious reasons. If you posted to the thread, apologies, you will need to repost here instead. Thanks!

((I've been quiet for some time now as life has snatched me away from the forum and all the creative nuances of FFRP.

I do, however, regret to inform you that my hiatus will continue to be extended. Married/Family life has taken over my spare time as of late, and what spare time I do have I'm dedicating to other artistic pursuits.

I MISS YOU GUYS SO MUCH! What times do you guys play now" I do work from home 99% of my career now due to some changes in the last few years. We are six months away from the wedding too. And I adopted ANOTHER dog.

I stopped in the Lobby last night and chatted with a few folks but was off by 10pm ET.

As with all things....it is time for a change. With the ending of "Raising the Dead" imminent - Julie and me will begin a new story arc we have been working on for a while now. We hope all of you who read us will continue to enjoy our stories as we take them in new directions and ever growing heights!

We have some new characters to introduce and of course some new villains....as well as some of our older ones too....Both characters and villains, heh.

We are looking forward to the future of our stories and we hope all of you will join us in our new adventures!

As the title suggests - we aren't dead, we're just a bit busy right now....Julie's working a play and I have tons of work stuffs to deal with right now.

We will be posting soon! The finale to Raising the Dead is done, but currently in editing. Once that's finished we plan to start a new story arc. Yeah, yeah, we still have to finish off the Mab sl, but we don't wanna right now. We want something fresh! We will get to it....eventually. Ya know, when we are truly and utterly tired of Mab. Heh.

Both Julie and I agree that the Bloods need a little downtime, we've been torturing them for years now so we want to torture a few of our other characters instead for a bit and let the Bloods have a little rest....well? As long as it is possible for such a thing to actually happen anyway....I don't trust an evil plotter and, ah....Both Julie and I are really good at it! Still, it's the thought that counts, yeah' Yeah.

Hope all is well with all our RP friends! Hope y'all will come out and play when we can get on! Looking forward to some good scenes!!

Yes, I may be out for some rp but likely no story additions this month. I am taking a bit of time off to replenish the fountain of inspiration.

Come November....I should have the final installments for Raising the Dead polished and ready but....Fallout 4 is coming out and friends are coming in for visits! So....Not likely to be around much during November.

December however....I will have some serious free time! I am already planning on new sls and new directions, which will start seeing the light of play during the merry month of Holidays!

Hope to catch up with everyone then!!!
