The image on the screen displayed the assault as it happened on the Harken compound in Istanbul, Turkey. Two people, one woman and one man, parachuted into the compound and managed to wipe out every single guard in a matter of seconds.
"They work so well together as a team," he muttered as he manipulated the camera view to zoom in on the two people. "Who are they' MI-6" CIA" Mossad?"
The image on the screen zoomed in on the male. He looked to be in his thirties, very athletic and looked as if he was born and bred to be a soldier. Short black hair, a 5 o-clock shadow, sharp brown eyes and other middle-eastern features made him look like he was part of the Israeli special forces.
"We checked, my lord, we couldn't find anyone matching him on their rosters," a voice called out from behind him. "The woman was definitely involved with Ambassador McCrae's personal security detail though."
They watched as the screen flickered and changed to follow the footage of the woman involved in the assault. Blonde haired, blue eyes and fair skinned. The way she moved on screen made it clear that she was a highly trained operative. In less than a minute from her hitting the ground, she disabled three guards without needing to use her own weapon. The woman disappeared into the compound with her partner and the footage fast forwarded for a moment.
"That's not exactly what I would expect from someone who is just a member of a personal security detail," he watched the screen as the playback went back to normal speed.
There was a ship that appeared out of nowhere and just hovered above the compound's flat-top roof. Seconds later a group of five people exited a doorway and ran up a ramp that led to the ship. The view zoomed in to focus on the faces of the five people. One was Ambassador McCrae, the other was Orianna Leigh, the unknown blonde and her male partner. Hoisted over the unknown man's shoulder was the one he really wanted. Seraphim McCrae.
"I paid the Harken family a small fortune," he found himself clenching his fists as he watched his prize be loaded up onto the ship and whisked away. "They failed to deliver and are lucky that these two clowns killed them before I had my chance to."
"My lord, we were able to identify that ship," came the voice again from behind Duke Leandro.
The Duke did not turn in his chair to face his lackey. Instead he studied what he could see of the ship. It's sleek curves, the red hues it had around its hull. The way that the hull seemed to pulsate as if the ship were a fusion of mechanical and organic technologies intrigued him. "So which group am I going to target?"
"My lord, that ship is registered to a company in the nexus world, Rhydin. She's called the Firestar and she's owned by Du"Masseuir Technologies."
The Duke just nodded as he took in that bit of information so he knew who to add to his kill list. "Get my ship ready.?
